You can call a debt settlement company and get a good sales pitch for something you likely don’t need, or you can invest a little bit of money and get the right information the first time. Bad information for free usually comes with a high price tag.
You don’t have to be good, just “charismatic.”
Love it.
Oh, they are certainly “good.” Just not usually at the things you want someone giving financial advice to be good at. 🙂
That’s because the company is not interested in helping you but only getting money from you. If they can convince you that everything is ok and give some crappy advice and get paid, then that is more than enough for them.
Hello Michael,
Yes, you have hit it pretty square on the head. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the debt relief industry operates on a principle where they put maximum profits above helping their clients.
and here’s me thinking these lines are set up to actually help people! shocking how no actual financial qualifications are required here.
Wow…I think I’m going to apply for the job myself and earn money from the company to pay off my debt! 🙂
Now, seriously, this is so wrong..like Matt said, no financial qualifications, whatsoever!
